Pipefitter

Location: Arizona

Description:

  • Training or approved apprenticeship is preferred
  • Must understand and recognize materials to take proper measurements
  • Create a list of supplies and materials, when low
  • Assist in installation or assemblies on worksite
  • Layout and mark weld pints on parts or subassemblies
  • Align components using calipers, ruler, and clamp pieces
  • Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures
  • Fabricate, assemble, install, and repair sheet steel products and equipment
  • Prepare and finish workpiece using portable grinder or scraper
  • Have the ability to read blueprints and PID’s
  • Be able to fabricate pipe support systems

Skills & Requirements:

  • Good verbal communications skills
  • Keeping the work area safe and clean
  • Be willing and able to follow directions and instructions from others as directed
  • Have a basic writing ability to complete required paperwork such as Timecards, Sign-in sheets,
    Safety sheets, etc
  • Understand basic MSHA/OSHA safety requirements
  • Be able to lift and handle no less than 50 lbs. on a constant basis throughout an 8-12 hour
    workdays consisting of days and nights
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, climb, reach, twist, and grip throughout shift
  • Demonstrate the willingness and ability to understand and learn skills required by others.
  • Dress in appropriate construction clothing, long pants, shirts with sleeves and steel-toe boots
    with defined heel
  • Able to get to work with dependable transportation
  • Able to stay on task and follow through with assignment
  • Follow company safety policies
